Family Matters

I started recording with my daughter over the summer. She is 16 and making a really cool EP out of these singer/songwriter ideas she has been writing for a couple of years.

While we were recording all of her singing vocals I got an idea for one of my tracks. So she did some random yelling and somehow we got to the word “Tiramisu!!!” — there was something about the way she yelled it that I really liked.

I think she captured this fun, punk rock sort of feeling that is missing from today’s music. If I had to classify it under a genre I would call it junkyard bass music.
