I finally did it

I just finished the first rap track I've emceed on myself since the 90s. Back then, I would ride my bike from the suburbs to downtown Detroit because the only place to buy rap music was the gas station on the east edge of the city. In high school I made a rap album and sold it door to door on cassette. I made $800. I worked my way into getting a hip-hop radio show in college called the Power Move but the radio station got shut down and somewhere after that I lost my path.

This BC project is all about getting over all my hangups and fears. Regardless of how this music is received, thank you to the people who support me and enable me to take risks and put myself out there.  I’ve grown more as an artist this year than the last 10 years combined and I truly appreciate the people who are on this journey with me.

I've decided to release special packages of my music including the stems (the individual tracks) for any hungry remixers out there. The release also includes special extended liner notes, lyrics, fully uncompressed audio and even a clean radio edit if you need that.  The regular release streams this Friday but this special package is out TODAY on my site. I've also made it "pay what you want" so you can pay zero or $1000 whatever it's worth to you.

Much Love, Barclay

p.s. the track is available today on my website here.

The version on my site is an uncompressed high fidelity file, plus a clean radio edit, remix stems, special liner notes and a lyric sheet.

Streams Friday everywhere!
